The RYDER
The RYDER is a contemporary art gallery that presents a dynamic program addressing key issues of our time. The gallery collaborates with artists through solo presentations and curated dialogues.
The RYDER: Expanding Art Boundaries From London to Madrid
The RYDER Gallery was founded in 2015, taking its name from the building in London where founder and director Pati Lara lived. Since its inception, the gallery has worked with emerging and mid-career artists through solo shows and curated dialogues.
"In 2019, the RYDER expanded its presence by opening a new space in Madrid and welcomed Rafa Barber Cortell as a permanent curator. The gallery is retaining its interest in interdisciplinary practices where action and performance act as the driving forces for its artistic ethos. Additionally, the RYDER presents a dynamic program addressing crucial issues of our time.
In recent years, amidst Brexit and the COVID pandemic, the gallery has decided to move on to expand its presence outside of Madrid, with new projects planned in several European locations, as well as a permanent presence at renowned international fairs.
