Benlloch's work reflects his social and political activism and is known for rejecting heterocentric categories imposed by the system he fought against.

In 1983, along with Juan Antonio Peinado and Marino Martín, Benlloch co-founded the Planta Baja concert hall in Granada, which became a vibrant hub for artistic expression. From 1986 to 1994, he played a pivotal role in the CUTRE CHOU group, known for their whimsical cabaret shows that challenged societal norms.

In 1988, Benlloch took another significant step in his creative journey as a founding member of BNV Producciones.
