Adam Cruses' Art Style

Cruces explores the dynamics of our interaction with the environment, employing diverse material approaches such as painting, sculpture, and video. These elements often converge in installations that blur the boundaries between obligation and leisure, nature and domestication, and the familiar and the foreign.

In his personal practice, Cruces creates site-specific installations that explore the interplay between obligation and recreation, in relation to contemporary lifestyles. These are often referred to as both contextual factors in which the work is perceived physically and conceptual factors, relating to the utilization of space and time.
