Delia Gonzalez
Delia Gonzalez is a highly versatile and accomplished interdisciplinary artist, whose work spans film, music, choreography, dance, performance, sculpture, drawing, and painting. With over twenty-five years of experience producing, performing, and exhibiting her work, Gonzalez is a recognized and respected figure in the contemporary art world.
Gonzalez's beginnings in performance, theatre, and dance have had a significant impact on her artistic practice and continue to influence her work across other mediums. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to explore and experiment with a diverse range of techniques, materials, and ideas, resulting in thought-provoking and visually stunning pieces.
In addition to her work in the visual arts, Gonzalez is also a well-known figure in the music industry. Since 2003, she has been working with DFA Records, releasing five albums and five EPs with remixes by notable artists such as Carl Craig and Baby Ford. Her music is often paired with films shot exclusively on 16mm, including a full piano score with four ballet-sets titled "In Remembrance" (2015, DFA) and an electronic album paired with a three-act dance film titled "Horse Follows Darkness" (2017, DFA Records).
