Aki Lumi
Aki Lumi is a contemporary artist who was born in Tokyo and is currently based in Paris. His work spans across different media, including photography, drawing, and drafting, and explores the meaning of man-made objects and the cognitive processes that shape our world.
One of his notable series is "The Garden," which comprises 100 works and represents his ideal garden. To create this series, Lumi collected images of forests and jungles from different parts of the world, cultivated them on top of an imaginary building with real plants, and created analog photo-collages using various iconic images and composite images made with a computer.
Lumi's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including in Japan, France, and the United States. His unique approach to combining different media and exploring the relationship between man-made objects and nature has earned him recognition in the contemporary art world.
