Bi Rongrong studied at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, where she received a degree in printmaking. She later attended the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where she earned a master's degree in new media art.

In recent years, Bi Rongrong has shifted her focus to exploring the potential of new technologies and materials in art-making.
