Xue Mu

Xue Mu (born in Nanjing, China in 1979) is a visual artist currently based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She obtained her BFA from Gerrit Rietveld Academie and her MFA from DAI (Dutch Art Institute). In 2011 and 2012, she completed an art residency at de Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten.

Mu's artistic practice encompasses various forms, including photography, installations, large-scale drawings, and collaborative performances. Each form serves a specific purpose in her research. Her recent projects have been featured in various exhibitions, including de Appel Arts Centre in Amsterdam (2014), Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (2013), Hexiangning Art Museum in ShenZhen, China (2013), and ANMUA in Nanjing, China (2013). Her works have also been displayed at international art fairs such as ArtStage Singapore, Art Brussels, and PhotoShanghai, among others.
