Yohan Hàn

Yohan Hàn is a French visual artist born in 1983 in Trappes en Yvelines, France. He creates performances, installations, and media works under the themes of skin, gestures, dance, and tactile sense. He explores the fundamental subjectivity and body elements of human beings while experiencing macroscopic changes in the body through the digital environment and smart system. Hàn creates sculptural works and directs performance choreography that directly fill and draw 'Drums,' which signify ancient means of communication and corporeity, to explore the summoning of other physical surfaces and their possibilities.

He has conducted real-time chat rooms and performances in the exhibition space, and various audience spaces are set up to ask questions about body language and mediation, senses and networks simultaneously. Hàn holds an MFA from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris (FR) which he earned between 2013-2016. He also completed the DNA program at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Paris-Cergy (FR) in 2019.

Hàn has held several solo exhibitions, including "Momsalpuli" at the Parliament Gallery in Paris (FR) and "MÉNÉ MÉNÉ TEKEL UPHARSIN" at Soorim Art Center in Seoul (KR). He has also exhibited his work at Philosopher's Stone in Seoul (KR) and Art space Boan in Seoul (KR) in 2021.
