Tang Chao

Born in Hunan in 1990, Tang Chao earned his degree in Art from the China Academy of Fine Arts in 2014. His artistic practice encompasses a range of mediums, including video, photography, theater, performance art, and installations. In recognition of his work, he was nominated for the JIMEI•ARLES Discovery Award in 2016.

His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including LOOP Barcelona in 2017, the JIMEI•ARLES International Photo Festival in Xia Men in 2016, NOWHERE TO HIDE at the Vanguard Gallery in Shanghai in 2015, the Emerging Curators Project–Nightmare of Exhibition (2st-half) at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai in 2015, and the Hinterland Project at the Time Museum in Guang Zhou in 2015, among others.
