Xiao Jiang

Xiao Jiang is a Chinese artist born in 1977 in Jinggangshan, Jiangxi Province, China. He creates captivating oil paintings that depict landscapes, people, and interiors, drawing inspiration from his daily life experiences, often using his own photographs as reference material.

Jiang's creative approach involves a painterly and imaginative approach to his source imagery, resulting in powerful, emotive depictions of real places that are simultaneously detached from reality.

Jiang's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout China, Europe, and the United States, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai, the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf in Germany, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
