Walter Bodmer

Walter Bodmer is a Swiss male artist born in Basel in 1903 and is mainly associated with Gruppe 33. Bodmer's first verified exhibition was "Zeitprobleme in der Schweizer Malerei und Plastik" at Kunsthaus Zürich in Zurich in 1936, and his most recent exhibition was "Schweizer Skulptur seit 1945" at Aargauer Kunsthaus in Aarau in 2021. He has had at least 4 solo shows and 35 group shows over the last 85 years and has also participated in 5 art fairs and 4 biennials, including the 29th Venice Biennale at La Biennale di Venezia in Venice in 1958, as well as exhibitions in Germany, France, and other countries. Bodmer's art is in at least 4 museum collections, including Kunstmuseum Basel - Hauptbau in Basel and Städtisches Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach.
