Theo Triantafyllidis
Theo Triantafyllidis is a Greek-born artist based in Los Angeles who creates immersive experiences exploring the intersection of technology, identity, and the body. His work spans virtual reality, 3D printing, and installation and employs humor and absurdity to comment on our society's relationship with technology. His main focus is creating virtual spaces and interfaces through performances, games, and interactive installations, merging physical and virtual worlds. His work responds to the tech industry's agenda with computational humor and AI improvisation, and he actively participates in the online and gaming communities that inspire his art.
Theo Triantafyllidis has exhibited his work in museums such as the Hammer Museum and NRW Forum, and galleries like Meredith Rosen, the Breeder, Eduardo Secci, and Transfer. He has participated in the 2017 Venice Biennale Hyper Pavilion and the 2018 Athens Biennale ANTI-. His artwork was recently acquired by the Rubell Family Collection, and this is his first solo exhibition in New York.
