Philippe Malouin

Philippe Malouin is a Canadian-born artist and designer who currently resides in London, UK. He studied at various institutions, including the Design Academy Eindhoven and the Royal College of Art in London, and worked for Tom Dixon before establishing his own studio in 2008.

His work lies at the intersection of industrial design, sculpture, and craftsmanship, exploring the relationship between furniture, lighting, and sculpture. sing waste materials from scrap yards in Brighton, UK, and Athens, Greece, he creates innovative and compelling works that challenge our perception of three-dimensional objects. Inspired by the Dadaist tradition of cut-out techniques, Malouin's hybrid objects blur the lines between art and functionality, appearing both this world and futuristic. Through his probing and boundary-pushing, Malouin creates a surprising language of form.

Malouin has collaborated with numerous brands, including Nike and Aesop, and has been named "designer of the year" by Wallpaper Magazine. He is represented by Salon 94 Design in New York City and The Breeder in Athens and has been appointed as President of the Jury at Villa Noaille’s Design Parade in France.
