Her photographic subjects encompass a diverse range, from Muslims in America to the Nation of Islam, as well as landscapes. Al Faisal is renowned for her expansive black-and-white photographs, which capture a sense of depth and nuance. Her latest project, documenting the Hajj experience, spanned several years to complete. She stands as one of the few women who have extensively photographed the Hajj pilgrimage.
Biography of Reem Al Faisal
Born with a passion for photography, Al Faisal's journey into the art world began after graduating from Manarat High School in Jeddah and studying Arabic Literature at King Abdul Aziz University.
Seeking to hone her craft, she embarked on a transformative journey to Paris, where she enrolled at the prestigious Speos School to study photography. Inspired by her travels and cultural experiences, Al Faisal's photographic collection showcases her adventures across diverse landscapes, including China, Egypt, Florence, Istanbul, Jeddah, Japan, Medina, Syria, and Venice.
Her collections are proudly displayed in esteemed institutions such as the Sakakin Center in Ram Allah, The National Museum of Seoul, and The National Gallery of Jordan.
Al Faisal's artistic prowess has resulted in two notable publications: "Diwan Al Noor: A Photographic Journey through Light, Water, and People" and "The Hajj." Her work has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and venues across the globe, including Dubai, Bahrain, Egypt, Palestine, China, Singapore, Korea, Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the United States.
