Lorena Herrera Rashid's Biography
Lorena Herrera Rashid, born in 1972 in Mexico City, studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where she was mentored by Olaf Metzel until 2012. That same year, she received the esteemed Erwin and Gisela von Steiner Foundation Prize, which acknowledged her talent and awarded her a significant project grant.
The artist has showcased her work widely, both nationally and internationally. She held solo exhibitions at Galerie Rüdiger Schöttle in Munich, Germany, in 2009, 2014, and 2018. In 2017, she made her solo debut in Mexico with an exhibition at Galería Marso in Mexico City.
Currently, she lives and works in Yautepec, Morelos, Mexico.
