Jimena Croceri
Jimena Croceri is a multimedia visual artist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her artistic practice is characterized by intention and experimentation, resistance and fluidity, and a focus on concepts such as time, chance, collaboration, correlation, and coincidence. Her work does not foreground authorship, but it also does not disavow it, and she often uses everyday and naturally-occurring materials in her work to probe points of flexibility between gestures, rituals, and performance.
Croceri has participated in several residences and awards, including the 2020 Pernod Ricard Fellowship at Villa Vassileff in Paris, France, the 2019 exchange program "Coincidencia" by Pro-Helvetia in Switzerland, the 2019 Bar Project residency in Barcelona, and the 2018 residency program at FLORA ars+natura in Bogotá, Colombia.
Croceri has exhibited her work at several cultural institutions and venues, including the Museum of Sex in New York in 2022, MUNTREF Museum and the Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires in 2021 and 2022, Galeria Piedras in Buenos Aires in 2020, Raven Row gallery in London in 2019, Ausstellungsraum Klingental in Basel in 2019 and 2021, Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich in 2019, the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires in 2014, 2019, and 2021, and the Faena Art Center in Buenos Aires in 2015 and 2017. She has also performed and exhibited her work at the Sivori Museum in 2018, HFBK in Dresden in 2016, and the Braque Prize in Buenos Aires in 2015.
