Enzo Camacho
Enzo Camacho is a contemporary artist who works in collaboration with Amy Lien. Camacho was born in 1985 in the Philippines and is based between New York and Berlin. He and Lien's artistic practice focuses on exploring the relationships between localized iterations of labor and capital from the perspective of post-colonial damage.
Camacho and Lien's work often involves immersive periods of research in specific locales to identify points of tension related to the manipulation of life in the service of profit and development. The resulting artworks are formed through playful experiments with modest materials such as light, paper, strings, and sticks, and aim to foreground the aesthetics of sustainable learning.
Lien and Camacho have also been involved in a number of other projects and exhibitions around the world. In 2019, they participated in Manifesta 13, an international art exhibition held in Marseille, France, where they presented their work "Nine Years Towards the Sun", which was inspired by the city's history and geography.
