Amy Lien
Amy Lien is a contemporary artist who works in a variety of mediums including sculpture, installation, video, and performance. Along with her collaborator Enzo Camacho, Lien has created a number of engaging works that focus on localized iterations of labor and capital from the perspective of post-colonial damage. They undertake immersive research in specific locales to identify points of tension that speak to the manipulation of life in the service of profit and development. Their playful experiments with modest materials result in artworks that foreground the aesthetics of sustainable learning.
They have exhibited in several international biennials and art institutions, including Manifesta, EVA Biennial, Asia Pacific Triennial, and the New Museum Triennial.
