David Horváth
David Horvath is a visual artist based in Baia Mare, Romania. He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2002 and has since exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.
Horvath's work explores themes of human connection, identity, and perception, often through the use of abstract forms and vivid colors. He works across various media, including painting, sculpture, installation and video. Horvath's approach to painting is characterized by bold brushstrokes and gestural marks, creating dynamic compositions that convey a sense of energy and movement.
Horvath has been the recipient of several awards and honors, including the Derkovits Scholarship in 2007 and the Esterhazy Foundation Scholarship in 2008. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including ArtAsiaPacific, Flash Art and Artforum. In addition to his studio practice, Horvath is also an art educator, teaching at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Eszterházy University in Hungary.
