Danielle Dean
Danielle Dean is a contemporary artist who is currently an Associate Professor at the University of California San Diego. Dean's work explores the intersections of language, technology, and politics through a range of media, including video, performance, sculpture, and installation.
Dean's work often addresses issues of race, gender, and power, drawing on a range of sources from popular culture, political rhetoric, and contemporary theory. Her installations and performances are often immersive and multi-sensory, inviting viewers to engage with complex ideas in a visceral way.
Dean was born in the United States, and her work has been exhibited internationally. She has had solo exhibitions at Lafayette Anticipations in Paris, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Massachusetts, among other venues.
