Clément Rodzielski's Art Style

Clément Rodzielski's dynamic approach centers on images, encompassing their creation, replication, and dissemination processes. Whether sourced from archives, contemporary media, the internet, or his own creations, the images in Rodzielski's oeuvre undergo a myriad of treatments, including multiplication, repetition, reframing, collage, photocopying, and spray painting.

He frequently employs unconventional materials and techniques in his paintings, emphasizing the material nature of images. In his "Grands A" (Big As) series (2008), for instance, he painted on paper and applied black tape over it to form roughly shaped 'A's. These "A"s not only contributed to the visual composition but also functioned practically, securing the paper to the wall while extending beyond the frame.

In other pieces, Clément Rodzielski integrated counterfeit cigarette content into his artworks, removing the product from circulation while conserving its material essence through artistic expression.
