Uri Aran

Uri Aran is an Israeli contemporary artist born in 1977. He currently lives and works in New York City.

Aran's work is primarily in sculpture and installation, although he has also worked in video and drawing. His art often explores themes related to memory, language, and identity, and he is known for his use of everyday objects in his sculptures.

Aran's sculptures often incorporate found objects, such as clothing, furniture, and household items, which he reconfigures and recontextualizes to create new meanings and associations. His installations often have a sense of playfulness and whimsy, with a nod to the surreal and the absurd.

Aran has exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the world, including the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, the Venice Biennale, and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
