Allyson Strafella

Allyson Strafella, born in 1969, currently resides and works in Hudson, New York. She obtained her MA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Strafella's art has been showcased in several solo exhibitions, such as "twilight" at Gallery Joe in Philadelphia (2011) and "Allyson Strafella: worksight" at Von Lintel Gallery in New York (2011), as well as various group exhibitions. Her pieces can be found in numerous public and private collections, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The Hammer Museum, and the Sally & Wynn Kramarsky Collection.

Strafella's work is characterized by its exploration of the relationship between the natural world and human experience, often incorporating elements of both in her mixed media pieces. She draws inspiration from her surroundings, including the landscape of New Jersey and her travels abroad.
