Alex Hanimann
Alex Hanimann is a Swiss multidisciplinary artist, born in 1955 in Mörschwil, Switzerland. He currently lives and works in St. Gallen and Zurich. In addition to his artistic practice, Hanimann is also a professor at the Zurich University of the Arts.
Hanimann's work spans a wide range of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and installation. He is known for his playful and experimental approach to art-making, often incorporating found objects and unconventional materials into his works.
Throughout his career, Hanimann has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally. His works have been shown at institutions such as the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, the Kunsthaus Zurich, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Venice Biennale.
