aaajiao
aaajiao (also known as Xu Wenkai) is a Chinese artist and programmer born in 1984 in Xi'an, China. He graduated from the China Academy of Art in 2007 with a degree in New Media Arts.
aaajiao's art explores the intersection between technology and culture, often using digital media to comment on contemporary society and the impact of technology on everyday life. He creates interactive installations, videos, and digital sculptures that challenge traditional notions of art and invite audience participation.
aaajiao's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. In 2019, he was awarded the Golden Nica award for Digital Communities at the Prix Ars Electronica in Austria.
