Biography of Yann Lacroix
Yann Lacroix was born in 1986 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. His artistic journey began with his formal education, culminating in a degree from ESACM / École Supérieure d’Art de Clermont Métropole in Clermont-Ferrand and Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto in Portugal.
Recently, he has showcased solo exhibitions at Parc Saint Léger – Centre d'art contemporain, in collaboration with Musée de la faïence et des beaux-arts de Nevers, France (2024); Fondation Bullukian, Lyon, and Abbaye de Fontevraud, France (2024); and Selma Feriani Gallery, London, United Kingdom (2023).
Other solo exhibitions of Yann Lacroix's works include "Janna" at Selma Feriani Gallery in Tunis (2021), "The plot thinkens" at Centre d'Art Les églises at Chelles (2021), "Sunset until Sunrise" at TARS Gallery in Bangkok (2020), "Cela ne m'est pas inconnu" at Galerie Anne-Sarah Bénichou in Paris (2019), and many more.
Lacroix has also participated in group exhibitions hel at prestigious venues worldwide, such as Casa de Velasquez in Madrid, Laure Roynette Gallery in Paris, T&L Gallery in Paris, Pracownia Portraitu Gallery in Lodz, Cartel Art Space in Bangkok, Crash Gallery in Lille, among others.
The artist has taken part in international residencies, including Casa de Velázquez in Madrid, Spain; Domaine M in Cérilly, France; and Dufraine Foundation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Chars.
Throughout his illustrious career, Yann Lacroix has received several awards and grants. A,ong them are:
