About the Artwork

The Scan Artist

"Born and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Armenia, my artistic journey began as a quest to blend the surreal with the psychedelic, transcending the boundaries of conventional art. Surrounded by the rich history and mystique of my homeland, I found inspiration in the fusion of ancient traditions and modern innovation, infusing my creations with an ethereal allure. Through my art, I strive to transport viewers into kaleidoscopic realms, where reality intertwines with the fantastical, inviting them to explore the depths of their imagination. Each brushstroke and intricate detail in my work reflects not only my Armenian roots but also a boundless desire to evoke emotions, provoke thoughts, and immerse audiences in the surreal beauty of the unseen."

Emotional Alchemy on Black Canvas: A Visual Journey through Human Experience

"Within this collection, I delve into the realm of human emotions, weaving a tapestry of colors and textures that serve as a visual exploration. The consistent anchor lies in the pencil drawing of a female figure, a unifying element across each artwork. However, it is the diverse palette of colors and varied textures that imbue distinct emotions and thoughts into each piece. Much like the multifaceted nature of human experience, where individuals undergo a myriad of emotions and thoughts with a constant visage, these artworks reflect the transformative power of emotions in shaping and altering the face of the person. I paint on black paper, then scan the painting and use Photoshop to merge the pencil drawing of the woman and the appropriate colors of paint to get the perfect composition. Each piece is unique and precise."
