Pamela Rosenkranz

Pamela Rosenkranz is a Swiss artist known for her thought-provoking and innovative works that explore the relationship between the human body, the environment, and technology. Born in 1979 in Uri, Switzerland, she received her MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts, Bern, in 2004, and completed an independent residency at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in 2012.

Rosenkranz's artistic practice encompasses a wide range of media, including sculpture, installation, painting, and digital art. Her work often deals with the themes of consumerism, the commodification of the human body, and the impact of technology on our lives. She is also interested in exploring the relationship between nature and culture, and the ways in which our understanding of the environment is shaped by our social and cultural contexts.

Her solo and two-person exhibitions include All Chemie, with Sigmar Polke, curated by Bice Curiger (Bechtler Stiftung, Uster, Switzerland, 2022), House of Meme (Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria, 2021), I Wish I Could Cry Blood (Karma International, Zurich, 2021), Healer (Sprüth Magers, London, United Kingdom, 2021) and Alien Blue Light (Kreuzgang Fraumünster, Zürich, 2018), among others.
