Mohammad Piryaee

Born in Qom in 1984, Mohammad Piryaee earned a bachelor's degree in handicrafts from Kashan University and a master's degree in painting from Tehran Azad University. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates, and has had several solo exhibitions, including "Crash Behind the Fountains", "Red Temple", and "Stairway To Odessa". Piryaee has collaborated with prominent galleries such as Homa, Dastan, and Choom.

Piryaee's artistic repertoire includes paintings and sculptures, both of which revolve around the theme of death and decay. In his sculptures, Piryaee combines elements of architecture with inspiration from still life paintings to create a sense of the decaying atmosphere. The connection between painting and sculpture is evident in his works, which he attributes to his experience of working with pottery and ceramics during his undergraduate studies. He has also pursued drawing, painting, and printmaking alongside sculpture, as he is personally interested in the medium of drawing. Piryaee's first solo exhibition was a set of silk screen prints held at Homa Gallery. He later shifted his focus to monoprints, due to his interest in drawing and hand printing.
