Mikko Hintz
Mikko Hintz's artworks are defined by their notably small size, and his exhibition titles, such as "On enter ok, on exit ok" (2010) and "You're hello I'm goodbye" (2012), are characterized by their clever wordplay and phrasing. While one might initially perceive the apparent simplicity and subdued elegance of his graphic geometric paintings as a form of timidity, their true intent is to provoke and unsettle the viewer. The artist's unwavering dedication to creating these small-scale works suggests a message of strength and confidence. The compact size encourages viewers to approach closely, breaking away from the typical distant audience-painting relationship.
