Mickael Marman was born in 1983 in Oslo, Norway. Currently, he lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

In 2016, he received an MA in Fine Art from Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg. The artist continued his education under the guidance of Michael Krebber at Städelschule in Frankfurt a.M., where he obtained an MA in Fine Art in 2017. One year later, in 2018, Marman participated in the BPA - Berlin Program for Artists.

Mickael Marman is a recipient of numerous grants and awards, including the Norwegian Cultural Department Diverse Grant (2014), the Norwegian Cultural Department Diverse Grant for Newly Educated Artists (2014), Bad Bentheim Ruisdael Stipend (2017), and a Working Grant from the Norwegian Artists Association (2018).
