Marie Lund's Art Style
Marie Lund's practice poetically reveals imprints and reactionary forces, exploring the intersection where various objects encounter the external world. Working primarily between sculpture and installation, Lund employs a variety of materials, including textiles, found objects, cement, wood, copper, and other natural elements.
Lund's thoughtful manipulation of these materials results in forms that retain the physical traces of her process, inviting viewers to discover the imprints left behind. Her work draws out the sublime from the ordinary, leading to new experiences and perceptions. This approach lends a distinctly atmospheric quality to her pieces, as they explore the dichotomies between internal and external, body and material, form and content.
