Biography of Manuel Gnam

Manuel Gnam was born in 1982 in Ulm, Germany. He studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste, receiving his MFA in 2008. 

From 2006 to 2007, Manuel Gnam embarked on a creative journey as a co-owner of Galerie Danziger Bellefleur in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Concurrently, he founded Proustwards Publishing in 2006.

Since 2010, Gnam's artistic endeavors have taken on new dimensions through his collaboration with Taslima Ahmed under the collective name FLAME.

Gnam has been a frequent exhibitor in Europe, showcasing his work at venues such as dépendance and Dold Projects. Additionally, he recently held a solo exhibition at Real Fine Arts in New York. Gnam was also part of the 2012 Whitney Biennial as a member of Red Krayola.

His recent solo exhibitions include "Scroll Through the Universe" at Galerie Noah Klink in Berlin (2018), "Extent" at Galerie Noah Klink in Berlin (2017), "Osiris" at Real Fine Arts in New York (2015), and many more.

The artist has also participated in group exhibitions worldwide, including "Screens" at Galerie Noah Klink in Berlin (2019), "The Ocean After Nature" at The New School in New York (2018), "Publishing Against the Grain" at Center for Contemporary Art in Lagos (2018), "Berauschet Euch" at Galerie Noah Klink in Berlin (2018), "Unpacking" at The Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles (2017), among others. 

Currently, Manuel Gnam lives and works in Berlin.
