Lucie Stahl was born in Berlin in 1977.  From 1999 to 2000, she studied at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. Later, she honed her skills at the Glasgow School of Art (2000-2001) and the Staedelschule, Abschluß als Meisterschülerin (2001-2005). 

In 2011, Stahl was honored with the prestigious BC21 Belvedere Contemporary Art Award, recognizing her contributions to the contemporary art scene. The following year, she was granted the Museum für Angewandte Kunst Wien - Schindler Residency in Los Angeles, USA.

Her recent solo exhibitions include "Transit Interior" at Camera Austria in Graz (2023), "Seven Sisters" at Bonner Kunstverein in Bonn (2022), "GOO" at dépendance in Brussels (2021), "CRUDE" at Queer Thoughts in New York (2019), and many more. 

Lucie Stahl has also participated in numerous group shows, including "Re-articulating LANDSCAPE" at Carinthian Museum of Modern Art in Klagenfurt (2024), "Hoi Köln, part 2: Im Bauch der Maschine / In the Belly of the Machine" at Kölnischer Kunstverein in Cologne (2023), "House Set Sun" at What Pipeline in Detroit (2023), "AMONG THE OTHERS: Thomas Bayrle, Michaela Eichwald, Konrad Klapheck, Albert Oehlen, Lucie Stahl" at Galerie Jahn und Jahn in München (2022), among others.
