Kukika Adamson, born in Pukatja Community and now residing in Adelaide, is a talented artist whose roots trace back to the esteemed Tiger Palpatja, a renowned figure in the art world. Inspired by her father's legacy, Kukika passionately paints the Wanampi Tjukurpa, a significant cultural narrative passed down through generations.
Her artistic journey began at Ernabella Arts, where she explored various mediums, including floor rugs and weaving. Starting as a school kid, Kukika Adamson dedicated herself to honing her craft, spending countless hours after school in the studio.
Today, she continues her artistic pursuits at the APY Adelaide Studio, collaborating with fellow artists Yaritji (Mutu Mutu) Heffernan and Wanatjura Lewis. Their enduring partnership, spanning over 50 years since their childhood in Pukatja, reflects the deep bonds forged through art and shared experiences.
