Jannis Marwitz
Even within an exceptional generation of figurative painters, Marwitz distinguishes himself through his unique and thought-provoking visual language. He employs elegiac, myth-laden themes, frequently drawing inspiration from Greco-Roman funerary reliefs, to create a disquieting celebration of physicality. The Brussels-based artist utilizes a vivid palette and a painting style that seamlessly blends traditional techniques with contemporary allure.
