Ho Tzu Nyen
Ho Tzu Nyen is a Singaporean artist and filmmaker born in 1976. He studied at the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and later pursued a Master's degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Ho's artistic practice spans a range of media including film, video, installation, and performance. He often explores themes of history, memory, identity, and power relations, drawing inspiration from a variety of sources such as literature, mythology, and philosophy.
His films and videos often blend fictional narratives with documentary footage, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. He is known for his use of montage and editing techniques to create complex, multi-layered narratives.
In addition to his artistic practice, Ho is also a writer and curator. He has written essays on art and culture for various publications and has curated exhibitions at institutions such as the Singapore Art Museum and the Mori Art Museum.
