Liu Xiaohui
Liu Xiaohui is a contemporary Chinese artist known for his hyperrealistic paintings that capture mundane moments of everyday life in China. Born in 1975 in Liaoning province, Liu Xiaohui graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1991. He has since gained international recognition for his works, which often depict people in modern urban settings and explore themes of individuality, isolation, and social dynamics.
His paintings have been exhibited in solo and group shows in major museums and galleries around the world, including the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate Modern in London. Liu Xiaohui currently lives and works in Beijing.
