Amina Saoudi Aït Khay was born in 1955 in Casablanca, Morocco. From a tender age, she was immersed in the art of traditional Moroccan weaving under the guidance of her mother. This early introduction lays the foundation for her lifelong passion for the craft and sets her on a path of artistic exploration and innovation.

The artist relocated to Tunisia in the 80s and began to explore a unique weaving technique that allowed her to seamlessly blend modern aesthetics with a reimagined Maghrebian heritage.
