Adam McEwen
Adam McEwen is an artist who was born in London, England in 1965. He received his B.A. from Christ Church, Oxford in 1987 and his B.F.A. from California Institute of the Arts, Valencia in 1991. McEwen's work explores the boundary between celebration and mourning, blurring the line between history and fiction. After writing obituaries for the Daily Telegraph in London, he began producing obituaries of living subjects such as Bill Clinton and Jeff Koons. McEwen's work has been exhibited in major exhibitions around the world and is in the public collections of several institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Julia Stoschek Collection. He has curated various projects and exhibitions, including "Fresh Hell" at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in 2010, and currently lives and works in New York City.
