Pierre-Yves Bohm
Pierre-Yves Bohm cultivates a daily workshop practice that is deliberate and detached from any artistic school or movement. By puncturing canvases, applying paint from both front and back, diluting works with turpentine, and layering colorful constellations, he meticulously distorts and overlays patterns.
Central to his artistic process is a determination to dominate, conceal, or abstract forms, seeking to retain only visual density. He aims to avoid literal interpretation, eschewing historical or societal narratives in favor of universalization.
