Martin Sæther
Martin Sæther is a Norwegian artist born in 1986 in Lillehammer. He is based in Oslo and is known for his diverse range of works across various mediums. Sæther received his MFA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, which also included a one-year exchange at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna.
Sæther has exhibited his works in various solo and group exhibitions in Norway and abroad. Recent exhibitions include "Upstairs" at Femtensesse in Oslo, "Rute" at Oppland Kunstsenter in Lillehammer, "herfra" at Galleri Opdahl in Stavanger, and "Toile" at UKS in Oslo. He has also exhibited at "Hydra Sparkling" in AGGIS, Vienna, "Post" at Destiny's Atelier in Oslo, "Maleriets letthet" at Kunstnerforbundet in Oslo, "(b. 1986)" at Archipelago/Hordaland Kunstsenter in Bergen, and "Blickkontakt" at Spreez in Munich.
In 2021, Sæther will participate in the reopening exhibition of the National Museum in Oslo, where he will showcase his works elaborating on the table napkin. His works across various mediums have established him as an emerging artist to watch out for in the contemporary art world.
