Lana Locke
Born in London in 1982, Locke moved to Australia with her family as a young teenager. She returned to London alone at 16, where she earned a master's and a PhD in fine art from Chelsea College of Art and Design. In 2013 and 2016, she was featured in Bloomberg New Contemporaries, and she is currently represented by Lungley Gallery.
Lana Locke is an artist who works in various media, such as installation, painting, sculpture, video, and performance. Her artistic practice revolves around the concept of the "feral," which occupies the space between the wild and the civilized. She explores how this notion intersects with social, material, and feminist issues.
Her recent exhibitions at the gallery have included "I Never Could Drink Like Francis Bacon" (2019) and "Making (Babies)" (2020).
