Biography of Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann
Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann was born in 1980. She completed the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts, Paris-Cergy in 2006.
She participated in the Pavilion residency program at the Palais de Tokyo from 2011 to 2012, and at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Japan, in 2016. In 2017, Badaut Haussmann received Prix AWARE.
In 2022, Badaut Haussmann undertook a residency at the Secession in Vienna, Austria, focusing on her research concerning the tobacco industry from historical, iconographical, and mass manipulation perspectives. Currently, she is engaged in a residency with Les Magnétiques, hosted by the Franklin Azzi architecture agency, exploring feminist architecture.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, she served as a lecturer at Paris Diderot University / Bétonsalon in 2014 and later at Parsons Paris - The New School from 2017 to 2022.
Her recent solo exhibitions include "The Tobacco Files" at Fonds de dotation Franklin Azzi in Paris (2023), "Sec & Metallic (part I)" at Emanuela Campoli in Milan (2022), "Lucy Jordan" at Galerie Allen in Paris (2020), and many more.
Currently, the artist lives and works between Paris and London.
