Jeremy Dickinson was born in Halifax, Yorkshire (England), in 1963. He studied at York College of Art in York (1982 to 1983) and later attended Goldsmith’s College in London (1983 to 1986).

In 1993, he drew inspiration from vintage photographs and the influence of Photorealism to embark on painting portraits of buses, which eventually evolved into his ongoing series "Civic Pride." This exploration prompted him to also use his extensive collection of small toy vehicles as subjects. With around 6,000 toys at his disposal, Dickinson meticulously arranges them into compositions featuring stacks and patterns, playing with contrasting colors and perspectives.

Dickinson's solo exhibitions have been held at various galleries and museums worldwide, including New Spring Project in Seoul, Royal Automobile Club in London, Seomi Gallery in Seoul, June Lee Contemporary Art in Laguna Beach, Galerie Xippas in Geneva, Tomio Koyama Gallery in Tokyo, Angles Gallery in Los Angeles, Anthony Meier Fine Arts in San Francisco. among other esteemed venues.
