Ján Mančuška

Text and film are the primary components of Ján Mancuška’s expansive works, often incorporated into the architecture and space of the site. The specific arrangement of these linguistic and pictorial elements, guided by the artist, creates a highly perceptual condition. The impact of the works depends on the viewer's movement within the space and in relation to the works. This arrangement of objects, interior elements, and pictorial sentences, and their interaction, results in a distinctive tension that condenses into fictional, cinematic sequences within the viewer's imagination.
