David Harrison
David Harrison (1937-2014) was a British painter and printmaker known for his abstract and gestural paintings. He was born in London and studied at the Royal College of Art in the 1960s. Harrison's work is characterized by its bold use of color, expressive brushwork, and strong sense of movement and energy. His paintings often feature dynamic, swirling forms and shapes that suggest a sense of chaos and motion. In addition to his paintings, Harrison was also known for his printmaking, particularly his screen prints, which were similarly expressive and dynamic in their use of color and form. Harrison's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, and is held in the collections of several prominent institutions, including the Arts Council of Great Britain and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
