Biography of Daniel Roth
Born in the picturesque town of Schramberg in 1969, Daniel Roth is a prolific artist whose captivating installations blur the lines between reality and fiction. Currently based in Karlsruhe and Forenbühl, Roth's artistic journey has taken him across the globe, with solo exhibitions gracing esteemed venues from Amsterdam to New York City.
From 1990 to 1996, the artist studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe under the guidance of Harald Klingelhöller. Since 2007, Daniel Roth has held the position of Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe.
His solo exhibitions have been held at various prestigious venues worldwide, including Meyer Riegger in Karlsruhe, JOLLYJOKER in Amsterdam, Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz, Maccarone Inc. in New York, South London Gallery in London, Donald Young in Chicago, and many more.
Additionally, Daniel Roth has participated in group exhibitions, including "Man's Traces in Nature" at Galeria Wschód in Warsaw (2022), "Tree Connections" at Kulturstiftung Basel H. Geiger in Basel (2021), "Come together" at Meyer Riegger in Berlin (2019), among others.
Throughout his illustrious career, Daniel Roth has received awards from Deutsche Akademie Rom Villa Massimo, Claus Hüppe Stiftung, LVZ Leipzig, Ars Viva Bonn, Kunstfonds Bonn, and Akademie Schloß Solitude.
