Blair Whiteford

Blair Whiteford is a visual artist based in New York who received his MFA from Yale University in 2019 and BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2013. Whiteford has had several solo and two-person exhibitions, including "Sowing a Seed in a Field Made of Ash" at Jack Barrett in New York (2021), "Flesh Beloved, Slipping Window" at Union Pacific in London (2019), "Hoodwinked" with Rory Rosenberg at Gern NY in New York (2017), "Leisure" with Blake Daniels at FRESH Exhibitions in Savannah, GA (2014), and "The Nighttime Monument" at SO WHAT SPACE in New York (2013).

Whiteford's work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions, such as "Complete Metamorphosis" at Super Duchess Gallery in New York (2019), "Again Always" and "You Can Get in and Not do Anything" at Yale University in New Haven, CT (2019-2018), "Keeper of a Fever" at No Place Gallery in Columbus, OH (2018), "Group Show 1" at Page Gallery in New York (2016), "Flux Hustle, No Holds Barred" in New York (2015), and "What We Saw Made Present" at Crossley Gallery in Sarasota, FL (2013).

Whiteford's artistic practice incorporates a range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation, often exploring themes of memory, history, and the body. His work is characterized by a sensitivity to materiality and a playful approach to form and color.
