Becky Kolsrud

Becky Kolsrud is a contemporary American artist born in 1984 in California. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts in 2005 and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013.

Kolsrud's paintings explore the themes of identity, memory, and perception through surreal and dream-like imagery. Her work often depicts fragmented figures and disorienting spatial environments, using a range of techniques and materials, including oil, enamel, and spray paint.

Kolsrud has exhibited her work in solo and group shows across the United States, including at the Brennan & Griffin gallery in New York and the Ghebaly Gallery in Los Angeles. In 2020, she was included in the Whitney Biennial exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Her work is also included in several public and private collections, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Hammer Museum.
